Upgrade instance to July 2017

Our Dynamics 365 production instance, created a few months ago, is on version version 1.0.0.1 for the Dynamics 365 Sales Application solution.
Recently create a trial instance and was created from "July 2017 Update for Dynamics 365", and display version 9.0.0.2 for Dynamics 365 Sales Application solution.
How can I upgrade my current instance to July 2017 version?

And, how can I install a specific revision or distribution, for tenting purposes, in my development instance?

Microsoft is supposed to be completed with the update sometime in the next couple of months if I am not mistaken, and then they will start schedule the upgrade (will appear in Dynamics 365 Admin Center under upgrades). You don't have much control on when they will schedule you, but you can probably change the dates to fit your needs better.

Select the Preferred and Alternate dates once the upgrade is ready, and Microsoft will handle it based on the best schedule they can.

You'll have to wait for Microsoft to allow you (us) to update existing instances to version 9 (July 2017).

It's just a case of waiting I'm afraid :-(, but we are getting closer. See the Team blog: blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../customer-driven-upgrade-for-dynamics-365-version-9-0-is-coming
