hi,

Recently we upgraded GP10 to GP2013 and almost my clients are using web portal. my purchasing and warehousing team are using the document to attach while making PO and Receiving by using note/attach option to attach the document. now when i try to attach the document but showing the message "you do not have security privilages to open the window.contact your system administrator for assistance". i can attach using the permission is for power user but normal user cannot use it. please advice.

In GP 2013 R2, OLE Notes is replaced with document attachment. You need to consider granting the required privilege to users accordingly.

The DEFAULTUSER security task controls access to Document Attachment. Two operations (Document Attachment Inquiry and Document Attachment Management) should be selected. Once you selected those two on the Security tasks window, the paperclip appears for users with this Security Task ID assigned to their role.

To find the Security Task operations to be marked in the Security task window. Go to: Product: MS Dynamics GP
