Drilled down report of expenses

Hello,

Is there a way I can see my expense categories (salaries, rent, water, etc.) during a period borkem down by transactions in sort of a "treeview". For our monthly reporting, I would like to easily show my boss which vendors transactions are listed under each category.

Thanks for your help!

    Hi Jennifer,

This will depend on your setup for categories e.g. are these sections in the chart of accounts for global dimension.  The Account Schedule should be able to handle a lot of your queries and also look at the Analysis by dimension.  Again the reporting depends on the setup.

     Hey Dave (or anyone),

Basically, I am looking for an internal PnL where the expenses are split up by Department (IT, ADMIN, etc) and location (OH, KY, etc.) which are dimensions we currently use.

Here is an example in Excel I am using but it is quite tedious to enter the info manually:

    IT

    Personnel

    OH

    Hi Jennifer,

Have a look at the Analysis by dimension for a overview. You can drill down or export to Excel. The export creates a pivot table with can drilldown to the details.

    Hi

Can anyone suggest me which version (4.0 or 5.0) is good to get certified in Microsoft Certified Business Management Solutions professional.

As you go through microsoft website it requests 5.0 for Finance, Trade & Inventory, Warehouse and rest as 4.0

So plz update ASAP, as i'm planning to do my certification by this month end
