Production order not recognizing approved and active BOM

An item is assigned to two sites and has a BOM for each site.  Both are approved and active.  When I create a production order for one of the sites the default site is selected, when I override it and enter the 2nd site I get an infolog saying 'no approved version has been defined for bill of materials '####', item 'XXXX'.  Site specific details have been entered for both sites. Each item has a unique BOM ID for the site it is assigned to.

Question why isn't approved and active BOM for the site being recognized?

Thanks.

    Two things to check:

1.) Verify that the BOM and the BOM Version for both sites are approved.  The easiest place to do this is from Inventory Management -> Common-> Bill of Materials.  BOM's exist at the top of the form and must be approved, BOM Versions exist at the bottom of the form and must also be approved, and optionally activated.

2.) On the same form, verify that the "From Qty" and "From Date" / "To Date" are valid for what you are trying to make on your production order.

    Hi Colby,

Checked that first go around and all are set. Versions exist for both sites and quantities and dates are in range.
