You need to make sure that the OLE note path in each and every user's path is set to a common shared folder on the server.  By default, if this path is not set, the system asks the user where to store the notes the first time a user tries to create one.  It offers a path on the user's local system.  This path is used to store attachments to the notes.

The notes themselves are stored in the SY003900 table and can be printed on any document by linking to that table by the note index.  These text portion of the notes are properly referred to as the Record Notes.

Intitially save them and then be able to print them.

We have them documented in a couple of our books such as Confessions of a Dynamics GP Consultant.  What are you trying to do?
