Hi,

We tried importing our solution into prod but getting the Invalid Argument error on a calculated field.

System-populated field for the XML representation of the layout of the form or dashboard.

Invalid Argument. : System.ArgumentException: The datafieldname attribute tb_consentexpirationdate for control. control id="tb_consentexpirationdate" classid="{5B773807-9FB2-42db-97C3-7A91EFF8ADFF}" datafieldname="tb_consentexpirationdate" disabled="true" uniqueid="{711caba4-6cb9-1312-6cc4-7d26ea3a496c}" is not valid for create

Any ideas as to why we might be getting this error ?

    Hi Tappu,

    Can you please elaborate what fixed your issue as it would help others in resolving for them as well. I am facing a similar issue and i am not able to figure it out why.

    Regards

    Pavan

    Hi, I encountered the same issue today. The reason was because there was a Calculated Field on a Quick Create form (which is useless as the Calculated Field is 'calculated' after saving). I removed the field from the Quick Create form, it fixed the issue. Can you try if this is the same problem ?

    Hi Gagandeep,

    Could  you please  remove the attribute tb_consentexpirationdate or may be related entity if possible from the solution and export the solution. Try to import again.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Gagandeep,

    I've seen this error in the past, usually when there is a corruption in the CRM Database, against the Entity table. This happens when a flag i think "CanCreateForms" is 0 instead of 1.

               "CanCreateForms": {

                   "Value": true,

                   "CanBeChanged": false,

                   "ManagedPropertyLogicalName": "cancreateforms"

               }

    You can query the metadata and check this : msdn.microsoft.com/.../mt607522.aspx

    Do you have a call stack of the exception? This might help narrow down more the issue.

    Hope this helps as a starting point

    Radu
