Quality Order validation: updating stock status on multiple batches

Hi,
I would be grateful for any advice on the following issue which may or may not be standard functionality

I have a client who typically produces multiple batches from one batch order. So for example they raise a batch order for 1000 and RAF 2 x 500 - each RAF will automatically create a Quality order.

The item sampling is set as follows

////
The Test Group is configured to update both the batch disposition and the safety stock

The mobile device menu is configured to allow them to input their own batch numbers as per the screen below

////
So a batch order is created for 1000 and the user RAFs 2 x 500 - each 500 is a unique batch.
2 Quality orders are created - one per batch. As the first Quality order is processed and validated I'm seeing an issue.

//

When I validate the first Quality order I notice that the batch disposition is updated for the first batch only. However the stock status for both batches is simultaneously updated for both batches - even though the second
Quality order is not yet processed.
I notice when I validate the order there is a select button - this opens the query for which records to update. Its clear here that the validation is trying to update both batches at the same time:

////
Is this standard functionality or is it incorrect configuration for what I'm trying to achieve? I can delete half the lines from the above query and only update the stock status relating to the first batch but this is a manual process,

As the batches are on two quality orders the first one could pass and the second one fail. So I would want the 500 on the second order to have a stock status of blocked. I understand that stock status is not related to batches but the quantity of 500 on each quality order are directly related to stock status.

Thanks for reading

    Hi Moribund,

    Where do you see the select button? When I click on the validate button, I don't a select button:

    Hi Idvtang,

    I think its probably because your quality order and the test group it's using is not set up to update the stock status. If you click on Concentrat and then go to the general tab in the header you can set it there. This will only apply to any new quality orders created though.

    Alternatively you can set the quality order to update the stock status by clicking on the General tab.

    Thanks

    Moribund
