Inventory transactions to GL transactions report in GP

I am running Inventory transactions to GL transactions report and have unmatched transaction, Potentially matched transactions and Matched transactions. Under the unmatched group and potentially matched group can someone tell me what this means if the don't match. What may be some reasons why they don't match? What am I looking for? I guess i just don't understand what this report is telling me exactly or how to go about analyzing it,

Fields compared:

Transaction Source to Transaction Source

Document Number to Orig. Control Number

Transaction Date to Transaction Date

Payment to CR

Deposit to DB

• Matched Transactions

o All 4 fields match

• Potentially Matched Transactions

o 3 out of 4 match

• Unmatched

o At least 2 fields do not match
