Our VitalSO db is set to auto close, and this is apparantly causing an access error when the db is not hit for awhile. Does anyone see a problem with setting this option off for VitalSO and VitalHQ? jacksond003@mail.maricopa.gov

From the tech...

"According to the SQL Server logs, the VitalSO database was inaccessible as of 3/12/2011 18:02:18 with the error “FCB::Open failed: Could not open file <<Database data file>> for file number 1. OS error: 32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.).”

Even more interesting is that this database and the below databases seem to be brought online approximately (not exactly) every 15 minutes. Is there some application process that could be taking the database offline and online for any reason? The only way for the above error to occur is for the database to be offline and another process locking the file exactly when SQL Server attempts to bring the database online."
