RM Statement Long Form issue

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport

Good morning. I'm wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. We have 2 terminal servers with GP setup. On one server, when we go to print an RM Statement Long Form, it prints out with no formatting. The other server uses the correct report we've created. I don't see anything that isn't pointing to that report. The set files on each server point to forms/reports on the SQL server, so I don't think that's the issue. Let me know any other info you might need.

I've been away from this for some time, but wanted to post to let you know I found the issue thanks to Accountable's tech support and fixed the problem.

The National Accounts lines in the Dynamics.set file needed to be below the Forms Printer lines. I simply cut and paste them and it worked like a charm.

I think you're onto something. I disabled Forms Printer through Customization Status on the ts with the issue, and there was no change. But when I disabled Forms Printer on the working ts, I got the same result I've been getting on the non-working TS. It seems to me now that something isn't quite "enabled" with Forms Printer on that server.

Aside from having to disable/enable Forms Printer on each ts, all settings within Forms Printer seem to apply to the GP Company so I don't see any other settings I can change. I'll have to check if I have support with Accountable.

Do you have support with Accountable Software? It must have something to do with their software.

    www.accountable.com/.../Options

I would submit a support request to them.

If you on both servers as the same user and get two different versions of the report that is my conclusion. Is there any way to temporarily disable the use of Forms Printer? I am trying to confirm if the issue is with GP or with Forms Printer. Perhaps there are some configuration options with Forms Printer that are different beteween the two servers?

When I set the product to Forms Printer (that's how it shows, not as Accountable Software), nothing is shown for windows or reports.

Just like you have to set the use to modified Dynamics reports, if you have modified an alternate third-party version of a report you need to set the use to alternate modified report. Now I am not sure if Forms Printers uses the GP versions of report or does it maintain it own internal layouts. When you are the Alternate Forms/Reports screen set the product to Accountable Software and see what versions of the reports appear.

Yes, it is the Accountable Software Forms Printer. As for the 32/64 bit...while the working term server is 32 bit and the other is 64 bit, our SQL server is also 64 bit and it works on there.

Are you asking about in Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports. In there, the Modified RM Statement Long Form is in use. We also have a form set in Forms Printer for the RM Statement Long Form. I see no security setting issues on anything that I can tell.

You appear to one 32 bit t/s and a 64 bit t/s and you have Forms Printer loaded. Is that from Accountable Software?

Do you have a modifed alternate form for the RM Statement in use here? Check the security setting on this.

Also, maybe I should have mentioned that on the server that does not print correctly, it prompts me with a message asking "Do you wish to combine national accounts?" when I hit print in the Print Receivables Statements window.

Ok...i attached a txt file containing the contents of bot set files. I separated each with lines. Hopefully that's ok since I can't upload multiple files.

You do not have individual DYNAMICS.SET files for each user do you? Can you attach the two set files just so we can if if anything is amiss?
