In dynamics 365 – I would like to know possibility of host to host (I mean connecting our dynamic 365 application directly to our BANK).
Feasibility of the below functionalities that we can perform from the dynamics 365.
Yes, you can connect from D365FO to external applications.
Basically you can implement some C# library to handle the communications (including encryption) and then add this DLL in your D365FO project and use it from x++ code.
However please know that if the bank needs to have the caller IP address in order to open some ports for SFTP communication, that's not going to work with D365FO. You can't get such IP, instead the calls from D365FO come from a range of IPs in the Azure Data Center.
So you trying to say below 2 points possible right?
1-PGP encryption file support at cloud.
2-SFTP Client push & pull the encrypted files capability to bank SFTP server.
Anything that is possible with C# is possible with D365FO, since you can use your C# DLLs in D365FO.
You can use PGP in C#. You can use SFTP in C#. So you can use both in D365FO.
Thank you Nikolaos for your valuable time, Actually we are the customer, we recently implemented Dynamics 365 application. my management asked to supplier regarding above 2 points. so they not replied. so i want to know whether this is possible from Dyanmics 365 or not? Now i understood this is possible. so i can request them to do it from there side..
