MDA transition to AA

Hi

Hopefully a real quick answer from someone on this one.  I have a client who is moving from MDA to Analytical Accounting.  She had been told that you can't have MDA and AA active in the same database at the same time.  I don't see any reason why not as they use different tables.  We would want them active while we do the transition and then will disable MDA.

Anyone know of issues in this area?

    Hi Heather,

    for moving MDA to AA, the user need to create\integrate the following things.

    Analysis Group information to Transaction Dimension

    Analysis Code information to Transaction Dimension Codes.

    you need to create a class to map the accounts to certain dimension.

    if you maintain details in both MDA and AA, during transaction both Analytical General Trx entry & Analysis Posting Detail assign with default based on setup.

    if the client remove all the details from MDA after importing records to AA, you can enter trx normally by using AA transaction.

    either they need to maintain data in MDA or AA.

    Hi Heather,

    you can have both MDA and AA as active in the same database but they need to setup configuration either in MDA or AA.
