Workflow activation in AX 2009

Hi everyone,

I am facing a problem in workflow activation in AX 2009,

I did all the configuration needed :

- Settings for workflow

- Batch group definition

- Workflow infrastructure configuration

- And the workflow configuration for PR as an example,

Unfortunately, I don't get the action button at the PR details level.

Does anyone know the origin of this problem?

PS: I am adding a customized workflow for a newly added table for which the submit button appears but without any action.

The workflow step is assigned to a user which is related to an employee.

Am I skipping any step in the workflow setups?

Hi ImenBZ,

Yes. Have you assigned the workflow step to a user group that does not exist? If you open the workflow configuration, you should be able to see it. Please change the group and reactivate the workflow.

Hi Andre,

Now the action button appears, but the workflow is stopped, and I am getting this error: User group could not be found.

is it related to workflow basic configuration?

Yes, I created a new PR after configuring the Workflow. But the action button is always missed .

Hi,

After configuring the workflow, did you create a new purchase requisition? You didn't confirm this one.

For the second point, did you submit the record to the newly created workflow. I am not sure of the steps you have followed for the creation of the new workflow and hence can't suggest anything more.

Yes, I did configure and activate the workflow for purchase requisition at the workflow configuration level. Am I skipping any additional setup here?

For the second point, it shows me that no pending workflow exists

Hi ImenBZ.

Did you activate the workflow for purchase requisitions? If yes, are you testing the workflow after creating a a new record?

As for the second issue, you can go to AOT > Forms > Tutorial_WorkflowProcessor. Open the form and click on Start.

This should process pending workflow items and you can test if your new workflow is working.
