Is there a way in GP to pay employees (accurately) by the minute?

I only see the ability to enter time amounts in GP's payroll transaction entry window with 2 decimal places. I know we can set the decimal places for the pay rate (up to 5 decimal places) on the payroll setup options window, but I don't see the ability to adjust the decimal places for the "Amount" field, where you enter the time. Unfortunately 2 decimal places doesn't yield accurate results when paying by the minute. Has anyone found a workaround for this or know if a third party that might have a product that addresses this issue?

    Hi,

I think you can do this using piecework as the pay type. You would then enter the $ amount per piece and use the number of minutes for the piece.
