MS CRM 4.0 compatibility with Microsoft Edge

Hi,

My organization uses MS CRM4.0 on internet Explorer which runs perfectly fine. However due to Windows 10 migration, the on-premise solution doesn't open properly on Microsoft Edge browser. I wanted to know if there is any patch for MS CRM 4.0 that can be applied to make the application working on Edge.

Edge browser is not supported with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, so for sure not with 4.0.

You will need to continue using Internet Explorer, and possibly use it in compatibility mode if any issues arise.

Hi,

No, there wont be any further patch releases as the product is moved to extended support.

Thank you for the response. So, in order to use Edge, the only solution is to upgrade to CRM 2013?

Most likely, but you should consider the Dynamics CRM 4.0 is ending it's support life soon, so upgrading to a newer version of CRM, should be something that you should be considering.

Also, I don't know how extensive your environment is, but if you are considering an upgrade I would upgrade to a more recent version, Dynamics 365 if possible.
