Micr line not printing right through GP in Citrix on HP 4250n, any idea?

Only work around while the check is being made is select a local printer on local machine, instead of network printer and save the document in a folder (confusing but for some they know so basically saving file as a xps document) then opening it up as the printer file then printing it to HP 4250n.  This is bugging our users since I cannot find anything online about it. Micr E 13b is installed on local machine in font folder and installed on citrix server also, when printing directly to 4250 printer the micr line is all symbols.

It was working, not now. I have no clue what changed.  I wouldn't think it's the printer driver other wise the work around wouldn't work.

    The drive being used was actually PS, we changed it to 5e and did a test print, worked, but they will do further testing tomorrow to monitor.  Thanks again.

    The citrx server can use a different print driver.  I have run into this before and it was the driver issue.  If that isn't working than you need to contact Mekorma for support as this is a third party prodcut.

     

    I was also using a PCL6 driver and changed it to PCL5 and have had no problems.  I will tell you that you are going to need access to the server to torubleshoot this.

    If the printer works locally and not through the network, why would it be the print drive?  They're using a 4520n Laser Jet PLC 6 printer.  The weird thing is, it prints right at times then it prints black boxes for the micr line which is the main issue here. The Micr font needs to be on the print server I'm guessing but we don't have access to their server, different network.

    It is the print driver - I had the same issue - what driver are you using?

    My guess is this is a print driver issue. However if you are referring to the 3rd party product Micr then you really should contact them for support.
