Different security roles in different legal entities

Hello all,

For anyone experienced such a structure, what is the best practice to build such a security structure?

e.g. let a user have delete permission for items in one legal entity, and have only read permission for items in another entity?

    Hi Fatih,

When assigning a role you can also assign the organizations. If you don't do this, the uswr has acces with this role in all legal entities. You can assign multiple roles to a user with also different organizations assigned.

So if you have a role where he has full access rights on released products in one legal entity and another role with different permissions in a second company this would work and answer your question. Note that it is not possible to have one single role where the right are different per legal entity.

Create two separate roles for deletion and view and associate the same with desired legal entity during role assignment as defined below

    Hi Tarun,

Please note that the default company field is not used within the security. It is only used when a user opens AX. The button 'Assign organizations' needs to be used per user's role.

in addition, its seems odd but I would say, no matter what, there is no benefit of trying to repeat same answer. or even its useless to say ANYTHING, just to say, if already correct answer has been suggested.

Note: this message is for respectable Mr. Tarun

    Hi Andre,

I was under impression that it works upon the default company setup only. Thank you very much for rectifying me :)

    Regards,

    Tarun
