I have a questions and I hope I get clear answer about. I currently have licenses for remote assists. When scheduling an event, all internal users can use annotations except for people outside the organization.

Can someone explain to me if annotations are supported for external users?

Thanks,

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

External users should also be able to annotate. Can you share more info about your scenario?

    1. Are you using Remote Assist on HoloLens or Mobile?

    2. What type of clients are external users using? Teams Desktop on PC or Mac, Teams Mobile, Remote Assist Mobile or Remote Assist on HoloLens?

    3. Do you expect external users to use Remote Assist app or Teams app?

    4. By annotations, you mean placing arrows/ink in the space or also file sharing? This is important part since file sharing is done with OneDrive and external/guest users might not have access to tenant OneDrive.

1- Remote assist is used on HoloLens

2- Teams Desktop on PC, possibly Teams mobile too

    3- Teams app

4- Annotations means arrows/ink in the space

Thank you for the details. With the setup you described, it should be supported for external users (on Teams Desktop PC or Mobile) to annotate for internal users using Remote Assist on HoloLens.

Can you then describe the experience? Repro steps usually work the best in these cases, for example:

    1. User A on RA HL joins a meeting

    2. External user B joins the same meeting on Teams Desktop PC

    3. External user B can see video and annotations toolbar and toolbar is active

    4. External user B can click on it the toolbar...

    Expected:

Clicking on toolbar is placing annotations

    Current:

Clicking on toolbar doesn't place annotations

This will help us a lot to narrow down the problem.
