We use Mercury for our payment processing and gift cards. If a cashier tries to refund money to an unactivated gift card using the Gift Card tender instead of selling the gift card, it appears to work but when the batch gets closed at the end of the day it gives a technical error and the gift card transaction doesn't go through. I keep telling the cashiers not to do it that way but it always comes up again eventually. Is there any way to prevent refunds to the Gift Card tender? Would the RRMPS software prevent that or allow refunds to unactivated gift cards?
