Workflow: Send email to Lead owner when Lead status changes to "Qualified"

Hey everyone,

First, I'm using CRM 4.0 and I'm a Workflow Noob.

I'm trying to setup a Workflow to send an email to the Lead Owner (Dyanmic value) and CC the accounting department (static value).  I want the email to send when the Lead status changes to Qualified.  I created the workflow and published it, but with no luck.

 Two screenshots:

Can anyone offer some assistance?

Thanks,

Chris

    Hi Chris,

Are you sure the workflow was even called? Can you check the Workflows section in the Lead form and see if it has any workflows listed out there.

If you do find workflows listed check the status... Is the status Waiting?

Also you can just reconfirm if the Asynchronous service is running in the services?

Hope these pointers help you move forward.

    Sam

    Hey Sam.

Just checked it and it wasn't called.  Details of the workflow:

    Entity: Lead

    Publish As: Workflow

    Scope: User

Start When: Record status changes (in this case Open to Qualified)

    • Stage: Check to see if the Lead has been changed to Qualified
      • If Lead: Statis equals [Qualified]. then:
        • Send an email to accounting
          • Send e-mail: Use template

[Edit]: And the workflow was published when I tested it!

I assume that this fails right at the start during the conversion of the Open lead to the Qualified lead?

    Any pointers based on that?

    Thanks,

     Chris

I restarted the server (and Asych service) and changed Start When to activate when the "Status" attribute changed.  Work after this but I'm not sure which step fixed it! haha

    Thanks for your help!

You might want to change the scope to Organisation otherwise it will only run for you, not for any other user. Leon Tribe Want to hear me talk about all things CRM? Check out my blog http://leontribe.blogspot.com/
