Is the user set to Send Email Router emails on Personal Options?

    Hi Gus,

Yes they are, set with their own credentails.

    Hi Stuart,

Typically when I see the 5.7.1 error in the event log it is an issue that is related to the receive connector in Exchange.

I am a little confused by your posting. So are you using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online or are you using Microsoft Dynamics CRM On Premise? I see you list an IP address for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, though you also mention you are using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.

What errors are in the Application Event viewer on the Exchange server that occur at the same time as the 5.7.1 error?

Is the server that is listed in the Outgoing Profile the same as what is listed on the General tab for the FQDN? If not, please copy that over to the Outgoing Profile and test sending an email again.

Does it make a difference if an email is sent from Microsoft Dynamics CRM to an internal user or external recipient?

    Cheers,

    Jason Kirkeby

Found that this was caused by incorrect authentication type in the recieve connector.  removing everything except External Auth fixed the problem.
