Can't close shipper from Sales Order in OM Dynamics SL 70 FP1

When you hit the "Rlse/Confirm" button on the shipper after you bring the shipper up from the sales order it gives you the following error.....

"you must click finish in the Shippers(40.110.00) dialog box before you try to confirm shipping. To do this click Cancel, then click Finish."

however there is no dialog box open.

You can only close a shipper by bringing it up directly from the shipper screen.

Has anybody seen a fix for this, or know what might be causing it?
