Hi,

Has anyone seen the following error while installing business portal for GP10?

Re: Re: Dynamic GP10 Business Portal Installation Error

Please find the supported environments for Business Portal:

    1. BP 4.0 SP2 will work with 32-bit machine only.
    2. Web Server's Regional and Language settings should be set to US-English during installation.
    3. Tested without issues on Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 SP4
    4. Will require Dynamics GP Web Services installed when ran on MOSS 2007.

Above are just few of the key points on previous successful BP4.0 SP2 deployment.  The feedback from Kal describe the detailed steps to go about item 2 (Regional and Language settings).

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers,

    Dencio

Re: Dynamic GP10 Business Portal Installation Error

I ran into same issue and the resolution is

    For Windows 2003

    1. Exit the Business Portal installation.
    2. Click Start, point to Control Panel, and then click Regional and Language Options.
    3. On the Regional Options tab, click English (United States) under Standards and formats.
    4. Under Location, click United States.
    5. On the Advanced tab, click English (United States) under Language for non-Unicode programs, and then click OK.
    6. Install Business Portal.
Note After you install Business Portal, you can change the regional settings back to the settings that you want.

    For Windows 2008

    1. Exit the Business Portal installation.
    2. Click Start, point to Control Panel, and then click Regional and Language Options.
    3. On the Format Tab, select English (United States) under the current format.
    4. On the Location Tab select United States and then click OK.
    5. Install Business Portal.
