Portal Contact password requirements and force reset

Hi,

What are the password requirements, if any, for a Portal Contact, length, makeup etc and how can a password reset be forced after a period of time?

There doesn't seem to be anything OOB, and existing threads don't provide an adequte answer either.

    Hi Leah,

    Thanks for your reply. I now have some standards set for passwords.

    The process to force the password reset doesn't appear to be that straightforward, so I'll come back to it another time.

    Hi Steve,

    By default, there are no requirements for portal password, but if you want to set Password restrictions in portal, you can achieve it through using Site Setting. 

    Example: Authentication/UserManager/PasswordValidator/...
