Posting ERROR - "The General Posting Setup does not exist."

I'm trying to post a service order, but I get the following error message...]

'The General Posting Setup does not exist. Identification fields and values: Gen. Bus. Posting Group='DOMESTIC',Gen. Prod. Posting Group='''

Business Central is not allowing me to create a general posting setup with a blank Gen Prod Posting Group...

This means Gen Prod Posting group needs to be set somewhere on the Service Order, but where? Service Items don't have a field for it, customers don't have a field for it...
I have the same question (0)

What are you trying to post on the service order lines, is it an item/resource/gl account? And what is the posting group setup of this card?

its likely the general posting setup is not complete for certain items in your service order. the gen business posting group could be kept blank but the gen prod. posting group must be populated.
check how many gen prod posting groups you have and which one is missing a combination

Hi, This is standard behavior and is set in the NotBlank property.
Even customization cannot solve this problem.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

The Gen. Prod. Posting Group is mandatory.
Service Item doesn't have a Product Posting Group.
However, when you service the item, you will use Item or Resource. That's where the Product Posting Group will come.
