Financial Reports: Report Groups

ReportReport

In AX2012, we were able to create report groups that combined all the reports as multiple tabs in one excel file.
I do not see that this is possible in D365 F&O - has this functionality been removed or is there a way to achieve this in F&O?

I do notice that there are missing tabs in F&O. The "Group Distribution" tab in AX allowed for an output name of the combined file and a location to save the file.

AX 2012 has three tabs when creating a report group:

D365 F&O only has one tab:

    Report Grouping Instructions:

    1. In Report Designer, select Report Groups (Left panel)
    2. Click on New.
    3. Select the override company, detail, and date settings from each of the reports that will be included in the group. We recommend setting the Company, Period, Year, and Detail level for each report.
    4. In the Reports in group section, select the existing report definitions to include in your report group.
    5. Save and name the new Report group.
    6. You can generate the reports from this screen or schedule the report generation
Unfortunately, I don’t currently have access to a dev environment to demonstrate this; therefore, I refer to the following for more details:

@AX-US the instructions you posted are for general creation of report groups - it allows you to generate all the reports at one time but in separate files. I am looking for the functionality to create all the reports in one file (multiple tabs).

    Hi

Group and report distribution features were deprecated in Financial Reporter for D365 Finance due to architectural changes and a change toward more secure, role based access.

Email based report distribution posed risks around data exposure.
D365 FO emphasizes centralized, role based access rather than pushing reports externally

We can use power automate flow to distribute the reports through email but not sure the steps for flow.
