New to CRM admin...Using on-prem Dynamics CRM 2016.

Being a system admin for the CRM site, can we look at the personal view created by any other user?

If yes then how?

I am not sure but you may try searching for any tool that deals with personal views in XrmToolBox.

Download and install it from here

    Hi,

From CRM UI, there is no way to see the personal view or dashboard of another CRM user.

Ideal way is to request respective user to share views or dashboard with you.

If such views are being used by many or all users in business then consider them creating as a Global View / Custom view accessible to all.

Now if the user have left the organization and you need to get their views and dashboard, you can migrate such personal things under you by referring to following code.

    https://vjcity.blogspot.com/2020/01/how-to-migrate-personal-views-dashboard.html

    Hope it Helps.

Since you are on-prem you can query the database table UserQueryBase for Personal Views.

    something like

SELECT UserQueryId AS 'ViewId', Name AS 'ViewName', OwnerId AS 'ViewOwnerId', OwnerIdName AS 'ViewOwner', FetchXml AS 'FetchXML', LayoutXml, ReturnedTypeCode, Description, CreatedOn, StateCode FROM dbo.UserQuery

Hi Khadim, thank you so much. This worked for me.

Downloaded xrmtoolbox and got the tool to copy personal view of other users.
