I recently switched on of my registers, now every time i hit "F4" to view the journal o reprint a receipt

i will get a run-time error and the POS AND or MANAGER will close.

here is the error:

 

 

"Run-Time Error '-2147417848(80010108)':

Automation Error

The object invoked has disconnected from its clients."

 

 

Can someone help me with this issue?

i would like to know why i am getting this error and what can i do to fix it.

    Make sure that a label printer is not set as the default printer.

    Hello, what if we need a label (receipt) printer to be set as default to print sales receipts?  Any way to make that work?  Thank you.

    Hello Freeman, apologies for the delay.  I'm on a work trip in the Yukon this week.

    Yes we resolved the issue by modifying the Zebra label printer Properties.

    By setting the page length to 6 inches (instead of 2), it solved the issue.

    The label printer had to stay the default printer so the receipts print out correctly.  So this was the solution.

    No worries, I'm glad to know it's resolved and I learned something also which is a bonus.

    Page length 6 rather than 2. Maybe the length change increased the spool time and allowed the database to cache it before crash it? Is it a modified receipt by chance with this cool beaver graphic on it? Did you make that Richard? It's very cool I must say. Cheers.
