Picking routes for Production Assembly

Hi,

I'm trying to determine the best way to setup picking routes for assembly purposes.

Currently, our system is directing staff to go to picking locations for jobs prior to their assembly - however the route that is being set by the system is very inefficient. I've come to the understanding that the order in which the system is determining the picking route is done by the sort codes. Is there a better way to set the picking routes than altering the sort codes? As otherwise we run into an issue where some production items require items to be picked from the same location - however the order in which an item is picked from that location might need to vary. Are there any other systems that can be used to make this process easier?

Hi ByronPietersz,

Please check the createPickingLine method in the WMSOrderTrans table, you will find the creation process for the picking route in the method.

Thanks for your response. In what module can I find the WMSOrderTrans table? I've tried searching via the search bar but have had no luck so far.
