I am still pretty new to Dynamics so I will try to explain this correctly.
My company has a Client Portal which is governed through Dynamics 365. In our Portal we have a place for our clients to submit cases for our support staff. Within this, we have a place for our clients to add attachments. When the case comes over to Dynamics you have to open the case, Select Notes, Search the first Case Note that was added and choose Open Activity in order to see if there is an attachment added to the case.
Is there a way for me to put that attachment on the Case homepage?
It appears to me that the attachment is storing to the Case Note Entity.
When I go into my Case Entity I have the Case Note option on the left where you can configure the Navigation portion of the form. When I choose Navigation it won't let me add the case notes.
Any help will be appreciated. Sorry for the dynamics ignorance. (I'm learning)

I have the same question (0)Hi,
In Dynamics 365, the only way to attach a document is through notes (and also email/ appointment). And notes/ emails can be multiple for an case so you have to find the one which has the notes.
You can however have a flag(custom field) on the case whcih can tell you if there are notes attached or not. You need to first find how your current process is adding the attachment.
Once you know how these are getting created in CRM (i.e. through notes/ email), you can write a worfklow on create of either of these (note/ email) and then update the case record field. You may need to put some filter conditions in the workflow for e.g. if you process is attaching a document in notes and the note title is Case Note then in the workflow you need to check if the title is 'Case Note' and has attachment.
Hope this helps.
