Data management - Certain fields stay empty when exported to Azure SQL

I have created a ps/xslt script to import xml vendor invoices into D365FO. It uses certain fields from the Vendors V2 and Vendors V3 data entity to lookup the vendor account. When I export these data entities either manually or via a batch job to an Azure SQL db I noticed that certain fields are not populated even though they are filled in D365FO such as the Fiscal Code which I use for our Italian Company. I already refreshed the data entiies, re-publshed the data entity and turned on Change Tracking on the data entity. I did turn on Export accross companies.

What could cause certain fields staying emtpy when exported to Azure SQL?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Gerard,

Are there some specific fields that exported without any value?

Have you tried to export to Excel to check if the value exported?

It's FISCALCODE that is exported without a value.

It might be that FISCALCODE is only used in Italy or maybe in more countries but only in our Italian administration. If I export it for our Italian company it does export FISCALCODE but I am note sure whether that is coincidental.

    Hi Gerard,

This behavior is not coincidental. On the data entity, the FiscalCode field is marked with IT (Italy) as country/region property. This is not the case for the field on the Vendors table itself. As the field is restricted for Italy on the data entity, it will work only for this country. You can extend the data entity with more countries to have it exported from other legal entities as well. This is a development effort.

Thanks, I did not know that. A search  on Data Entity and Country/region property would indeed have shown me the issue here.

Is it correct that the Country/region property of a data entity field cannot be shown from within the D365FO environment?

    Hi Gerard,

When adding the data entity to the data project, it warns about certain fields if they are company specific. In this question, I got the information from the development environment.
