Hello Community!

I am looking to start earning some certifications to help prepare me for switching to Dynamics 365 CRM.

My team handles:

CRM support, process improvements and automation.

Any suggestions? I want to start researching what certifications to take, take them and then determine if it's worth having my team do the same or not.

These are the certifications I’d recommend you take:

Sales functional consultant: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/d365-functional-consultant-sales-v3/?practice-assessment-type=certification

Power Platform consultant: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/power-platform-functional-consultant-associate/?practice-assessment-type=certification

I would not suggest pursuing Power Platform Developer or RPA certifications just yet, as it doesn’t sound like you have pro developers on your team. However, if you want to implement more Power Platform features, go for it.

Hi Nelson,

1: I would suggest first go with Microsoft Dynamics 365 fundamental (CRM) certification. This certification will give you a high level overview of all the customer engagement applications.

2: Then go with Power Platform Fundamentals certification. As this certification will give you an overview of Microsoft Power Platform, such as Power Apps, data connections with Dataverse, and Power Automate.

3: As you mentioned about CRM support I would suggest you than proceed to explore Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate certification.
