Re-installing office-addins on Dynamics AX 2012 RTM

After experiencing problems with the Office add-in for Dynamics AX 2012 RTM I am trying to re-install it office-addins on Dynamics AX 2012 running on a HYPER-V virtual machine.

I have rename the .img file with the installation media to .ISO extension and mounted in on the DVD-drive of the HYPER-V virtual machine.

I can start the installation process and everything goes smoothly right until I reach a quarter of the way through the actual installation of files (the window named Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Client and Office Addins (64bit) with the text "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Client and Office Addins (64 bit) - then the installation program shows me a pop-up window containing an OK-button and a Cancel-button with the text: "Please insert the disk:".

If I click OK the pop-up window re appears and I can not proceed any further.
So I can only Cancel.

Anyone having a similar experience ? And if so, have you solved the problem ?

Copy the files to your hard drive, remove the disc from your computer, and run the setup. That worked for me. Cheers!!

Some times the solution to a problem is SO simple, that it eludes me.

It worked like a charm.
