Integration Mapping - does anyone have any experience or history with this?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi all

I'm hoping to get some help understanding and implementing an integration from Highjump Prophesy to GP.

I have the basic integration setup and am starting to do some test runs on a sample db and am getting an error that my Batch Number does not exist.

But the Insert Allowed attribute is True so it should be able to insert the batch as described.

Very Confused, I have other questions but this is hanging me up and I cant move past it.

Thanks in advance for your input!

I've looking thru them and there are none that apply to my situation, I'm not versed enough in the undocumented uses of some of the fields im fighting with.

The Inserts Allowed attribute corresponds to the entire Receivables Transaction, not the Batch Number field. The Batch Number is created in the Batch Headers table and assigned to the transaction. If you do not specify that you want to Create Batch If Missing on the field property, Integration Manager will give you the error you were seeing.

In the future remember there are sample integrations provided. It may be helpful to review them if you get stuck.

Apparently you can change the requirement under Options for the BatchID to create the missing batch number.
