Hello Zain,
I am not referring to the standard SSRS reports but rather to the new electronic reporting framework and the country specific reports that are available there.
Some time ago I found a report that has the opening/transactions/closing structure for inventory transactions in China if I remember it correctly.
One should be able to make this report available for other countries as well by creating a copy of the electronic report configuration and adding one's country key.
I did not check this much further.
Would be great if you could check and test this possibly in one of your demo companies.
Best regards,
Ludwig
Hi Zain,
Not sure if you can remove country region properties in Dynamics 365, but at least it would be possible to extend the list with countries in the object properties.
Hi All,
@Ludwig I tried to enable the China reports for inventory for D365 as well. Those reports are the best that define inventory in different intervals quantitative wise. Unfortunately, it didn't work like they used to in ax 2012. They have country region enabled and this time it's hard to remove it.
The reports will be giving the best data according to different date intervals with reference of each transaction. The reports are purely quantitative, i guess the report that gives inventory data for amount is Inv value.
If anyone manages to overcome the country code matter please share.
Thanks,
Zain
Hello Rogerio Ruella,
As far as I know there is a local standard report available for that, which is, however bound to a country key (China if I am not wrong). You can check out this report and test it in the electronic reporting workspace. If it matches your requirement you can test adding your country/region code and make it available for your users.
Best regards,
Ludwig
Hi Ludwig,
The "inventory value in export format" gives me the closing balance (quantities & amounts) per item for a month and in this report I can also select the transactions for the same period of time (quantities & amounts), but it gives me a huge amount of rows.
What I would like to get is the (opening balance for the month / transactions (quantities & amounts) summarized / closing balance) per item.
Is there any configuration that I can use in this report to get this result? Or at least a way to run this report in the "Detail - transactions" mode (DTL-T) summarized.
Regards
Hello Rogerio,
You have not mentioned much about the data that this report shall include.
Do you want to analyze item transactions or financial data?
If you are only interested in financial data (values) then you can use the management reporter.
If you want to report on items then you can use the management reporter only if all of your items have a financial item dimension assigned. I assume that this is not the case, which necessitates that you use other reporting tools, such as PowerBI.
Best regards,
Ludwig
Hi Andre,
The report can be one row per item and have the transactions consolidated in one row or if not, I can consolidate it later but I need to have the opening balance and the closing balance for each item.
The best would be quantities and amounts.

Hi Rogerio Ruella,
Yes there is, please check Inventory value report in inventory management module. This report is setup based & with minimal setup you can generate the required information.
You can setup the inventory value report through Inventory management > Setup > Costing > Inventory Value report.
You can access the inventory value report through Inventory management > Reports > Status > Inventory Value report.
Please mark YES against the answer that helps you. Thanks
Regards,
Zain
Hi Rogerio,
Are you looking for a report with one line per item and have the transactions in one column? Or do you need a report with a row per transaction? Does the report need to show quantities, amounts or both?
