Hi,
Our customer is using the service subscription functionality to create invoices for maintenance contracts. Via subscription groups the length of the service subscription is setup. For each subscription the revenue is accrued on monthly basis (Service management -> Setup -> Service subscriptions -> Subscription groups).
The subscription groups in d365 use the period types definitions to determine the length of the service subscription (Organization administration -> Setup -> Calendars -> Period types).
Now my client asked the possibility to create maintenance contracts with a semi-annual length (so 6 months). This is however not an option that I'm able to setup in the period types:
I tried with the "Ledger period" and "Unlimited" options but I'm not allowed to setup these frequency types in a subscription group:
Does anyone from the community have an idea how I can foresee a semi-annual frequency for service subscriptions? Any other suggestions?
