Can a periodic journal be setup in a way that it auto post?

    Hi,

    Periodic Journals in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO) can be set up to auto-post, but it requires configuration and possible customization.

    Steps to Enable Auto-Posting of Periodic Journals
    1. Set Up a Periodic Journal:
      • Navigate to General Ledger > Journal Entries > Periodic Journals.
      • Create a new periodic journal template with required accounts and amounts.

    Create General Journals
    1. Define Recurrence Schedule:
      • Use the "Recurrence" option to set how frequently the journal should be created.
      • Choose daily, weekly, monthly, or custom intervals.



    1. Enable Batch Processing:
      • Schedule the journal to be posted automatically at predefined intervals.
    2. Customize via X++ (Optional):
      • If auto-posting is not available through standard functionality, a developer might need to customize the LedgerJournalTable class to bypass manual intervention.

    Retrieval wouldn't be automatically but once retrived posting can be auto as mentioned in the below comment.
