Management Reporter Drill-Down sorting

Hello,

It seems that when I drill-down from a Financial to Account level, the accounts are not sorting by main account string.  Is this a bug?  I know in FRx it would sort by Main Account Number.  Can anyone assist?

Thank you,

Mike

    Hello Mike,

Please go to the Report Definition in Management Reporter and click on Settings. Then click on the Other button and go to the Account & Transaction Detail tab. Make sure the Sort by natural or main segment checkbox is selected.

If this is the case and you are still having issues, make sure you are on the latest provider that we released for GP and AX.

    Thanks,

    April

    Hi April,

Do you know what, if you uncheck "Sort by natural or main segments", the report will sort on?

    Hi Elsa,

The following is from the Help screens in MR:

Sort by natural or main segment -

Sorts multiple accounts that are listed at the same level. The overriding sort order for reports is determined by the account order in the row definition.

Thanks.  The account format is 000-000-0000.(Cost Center - Sub Account - Main).  I'm trying to control the sort of a drill down range of accounts, 2 ranges, Balance Sheet accounts and P&L accounts. When I choose main account, it sorts properly for both ranges.  But I want it to sort on the Cost Center then Sub Account segments for P&L accounts.  So I turn off "Sort by natural or main segment" and the P&L accounts sort great:

    100-200-4500

    100-200-4600

    100-300-4500

    100-300-4600

    100-340-4100

However, the balance sheet accounts which don't use Cost Centers or Sub Accountssort randomly.

    000-000-2300

    000-000-1200

    000-000-1300

The Balance Sheet range is the problem.

I have seen an issue with this if you have zero amounts for some of these accounts when you drill down.

There are some accounts with zero amounts.  I'm going to try not printing rows with zero amounts.
