Quickbooks to Business Central Data Migration

We are looking to use the Quickbooks Extension to bring in GL Accounts and balances, Vendors and Open Transactions, and Customers and Open Invoices.  We've used the extension and are not getting the expected/desired results.

From a GL perspective, it brought in some accounts but not all and the balances it brought in don't match or balance.

Can anyone provide tips on a process that was followed and successful?  I've contacted Support and they mentioned the QB data migration is not always accurate?????

Any input is appreciated.

Thank you

QuickBooks migration tools can be hit or miss. Double-check your data mapping and ensure clean source data. If issues persist, try exporting to Excel or using a tool like Skyvia for a smoother migration.

In order to get your data out of the QuickBooks desktop application you will need to download the Microsoft Data Exporter Tool. The instructions for the tool are in the Data Migration Wizard in Business Central. The tool will connect to your QuickBooks application and export the applicable data to a .zip file.

Thank you for your quick response!  I however am not locating the article you mention by doing a search on Quickbooks (or QuickBooks).  I also searched on your name.  Are you able to provide the actual link?

    I appreciate your feedback.

    Thank you!

    Sharon,

This has been answered in this forum before. Just search the QuickBooks and my answer to this will pop up. I have details on how to bring it in and all. Attachments and all, The tool doesnt work like you think, its sloopy at best. If it is not right in the QB it will not come over right in BC. You will still need to fix it in BC bottom line. Hope this helps
