Creating Messages in a Workflow

I have a number of workflows that run on the Appointment and the Phone Call Records.  The first create a Task and then send an email to the Task Owner.  The workflows were created by the system administrator in the top level Business Unit.

This works fine when the User running the workflow (they are on-demand workflows) in also in the same top level Business Unit.

However, if they are in a Child Business Unit the workflow will create the Task but it does not create the email.  It stops with the mesage "you do not have enough priviliges to access the Microsoft Dynamics object or perform the requested operation.  I have looked at the security roles and I cannot work out which one I have got wrong.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Have you tried sharing the process with the child team / business unit?

Also, is the process set to run as the process owner or as the user running it?

One last thing. I had a similar issue until i set the scope of the process to 'Organisation'.

Thanks.  I tried sharing and it did not work.  I don't know how to set who runs the process.

Yes, the scope is set to Organisation.  Though I thought that was for Automatic Processes not On-Demand ones.

Terry.  I have fixed it.  The email was set to be from a Queue and the User did not have Append permission for the Queue.  many thanks for your help, it was all a matter of slow elimination.  I think I will have a break now.
