Hello,
is it possible to disable insights on a per contact basis? For example: for a specific contact "XY" we would like to DISABLE the tracking of all data in regards to email activities: email sent, delivered, opened, blocked, clicked, etc.
Thanks in advance,
Nina
Hi Shravan,
thanks! Yes that is exacly where I found the answer :).
So by disabling tracking, the delivery details in insights are not recorded.
Hey Kovinina,
Have you had a chance to look at the documentation here (docs.microsoft.com/.../gdpr which talks about how public interaction tracking can be disabled for a particular contact?
Thanks,
Shravan
Hi Clofly,
thanks.
I was just wondering what the April 2020 update (for Dynamics 365 Marketing) refers then when it says:
"Expanded controls to disable email tracking on a per contact basis." - docs.microsoft.com/.../whats-new-marketing
What is meant by this extended control?
It is a bit confusing because what Microsoft considers under email tracking is the automatic creation of the email activities in customer engagement apps (docs.microsoft.com/.../email-message-filtering-correlation).
However, when we use Customer Journey to send an email (as is the case in the Marketing app - we can exclusively send emails via CJ), the email activity is not created.
Best,
Nina
Hi Nina,
I am afraid that currently those activities will always be tracked unless contacts don't allow marketing email to be sent to them.
Adding a switch to Insights would be a good idea, welcome to share your proposal to Ideas forum:

Clofly
