Can't Delete SOP Return documents after they have been printed

Hello,

I just have what I hope is a simple question. In GP 2010 should we in Sales Transaction Entry be able to delete a SOP return document after it has been printed? The option to allow deletion of the pertinent SOP Return document type has been selected in SOP setup. The option to delete is visible in the actions drop down list in Sales Transaction Entry before we print a Return document, but it is not visible after we delete a return document. I suspect the same would be true for orders, invoices etc.

Since upgrading to GP 2010 we have not been able to void sales transactions. We had a lengthy support case with Microsoft on this issue last year. We finally gave up on voiding SOP transactions. So, our only option is to delete them.

Thank you.

Larry

Larry, I just tested this in my GP 2013 system and you, in fact, cannot delete a sales doc after it's been printed, but you should be able to Void it.  I was able to Void a Return that had been printed.

We can't delete the Sales Transactions after it has been printed. The only option is, we need to void those sales documents.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Frank and Soma,

Thank you for taking a look at this for me. I now know that not being being able to delete sales documents after they have been printed is a standard GP feature.

Once you print a document you cannot delete them. This is true for both sales and purchase orders. GP counts the number of times a document gets printed.
