Accessing one common entity of multiple D365 accounts from one

Posted on by 240

Hey,

We are in business of developing solutions for clients, and all of them have one entity in their PSA App that is created by us and worked on by us. They regularly post requests in that entity which we work on. My need is to be able to access that entity in our own environment. Maybe as a different app where we call the data? Or in different views for each client.

How do I go about pushing one common entity's data from all accounts to one?

Would appreciate the help.

Thank you.

    Hey.

If I want to use custom flows, then will something like this work? docs.microsoft.com/.../data-integrator

You might be able to do it using custom Flows, but I believe a Premium license would be required for that.

    Hey. Appreciate the answer.

Just wondering if there is a way to do this without having to code?

I believe that the best way to accomplish this is by having a Web service and a custom plug-in. Whenever your clients create records for this entity you mentioned, a custom plug-in should be fired which will consume a Web service that will in turn push this very record to your own environment.

By having such a scenario, you can deploy this custom plug-in to as many clients that you want, and they'll all consume the same Web service that pushes data to your own environment.

    Hope that's helpful ;)
