Bifurcation of Finished Product's Production Cost

Hi Expers,

I am new to Production Costing, I want to know how we can bifurcate the cost of Finished Goods?

For example:

Production Order for Item FG-001 = 10 Qty

Material Consumed = 

                              RM-01 = 20 Qty

                              RM-02 = 10 Qty

Labour / Rout Card=

                             Operation 1 = 5 hours

                             Operation 2 = 2 hours

Report as Finished = FG-001 = 6 Qty

I can see the cost (Estimated) on the Finished product (as Production Order is not yet ended).

Now we want to know the portion of Material and labour consumed for this finished product (i.e. 6 Qty).

How do get these details?

At the end We want to prepare one report with Total WIP - Consumed WIP = Remaining WIP with the bifurcation of Material & Other Cost.

    Is your question about a kind of status and progress report or do you want to end the production order with less reported as finished compared to the original production quantity.?

    Thanks for your response.

    In Dynamics 365 FO while doing RAF, the system is recording FG with estimated manufacturing cost. We had a request to provide a bifurcation of that estimated cost for RM consumed and Operation completed.

    Do you mean to say that you want to calculate the cost for 6  and have the 4 remaining open to still be produced later?

    Hi Gaurangkumar,

    The answer is also relating to the item model group the FG001 use.  Normally, when you only report as finished the FG, only physical cost amount will be updated. It may take the running cost (if you use average cost) or the standard cost (if you use standard cost)

    Actually, I want to know the portion of the cost related to "Material" & "Other Cost" consumed to produce my 6 qty on Report as finished.

    Hi Gaurangkumar,

    Thanks for the clarification. There are some WIP reports, but probably not what you are looking for. In that case, you would need a customization.
