How to work with a financial report on Power BI

Hi everyone and thank you in advance,

I am trying to work with the information of a financial report of BC in Power BI, but when I try to get data from the API in Power BI that connects with Business Central, I can see several sources of data, like customers, etc., but I don't know how to bring a P&L from BC to Power BI in order to work with it.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Regards and thanks!

Eduardo D.

Hi, Simply put, when you open Power BI and connect to Business Central data, you will see three collections.

Advanced APIs and Standard APIs are standard API pages provided by Microsoft. If you want to add new ones, you need to customize your own API pages.

Web Service (legacy) is the Odata data published in the Web Service page in BC, you can add the existing page from BC to Web Service, and then access it from Power BI.

Finally, please note that the performance of API is much better than that of Web Service.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.
