Hi all,

Can I use recurring journal to post salary cost and which method is best to use?

- Do I need to change the amount manually every month
-Can I import the journal details into BC as this is large data
-Also if I have overhead cost that I post every month and I used fixed recurring method to do this, because i know this is a monthly journal is there a way i can post a whole year of the journal in to the individual financial month.

Thanks!

Hi, For your needs, I think Standard journals can also be used to achieve this.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

I would say yes, as you can post weekly, biweekly, monthly, or with variable or fixed intervals. The recurring journal feature offers some great options for balancing by dimension and date formula, which you can leverage over time. I hope the link below helps you

Yes, you can use Recurring General Journals in Business Central to post salary costs. If the amount is fixed, use the Fixed method; if it varies, use the Variable method. You can import large data using Configuration Packages or Excel Import. For overhead costs, Business Central doesn’t allow posting a full year at once, but you can predefine monthly entries and schedule them.

If you want to go in detail, Kindly refer to this it might be helpful:

You can use a recurring journal to post every month for that year, even you use RapidStart to import and post.
