D365 connect to Tableau

hi

What are my options for connecting D365 to Tableau? In the long term we will be moving to PowerBI but I need a short term solution in the meanwhile. 

I know there is a tableau connector out there somewhere but apart from that is there anything else that we could use? DMF perhaps?

    Hi Harry!

    I would look into the BYOD option or the Entity Store to use Tableau for reporting on D365FO data. Since Microsoft doesn't allow customers or partners to directly connect to the production database you can export data entities from DYN365FO to an Azure SQL database and connect to it to get the data you need.     I Agree with Espen here . You should explore concept of BYODB and fo your connection from there. You have full access to this DB, you just have to create entities for the data you want  and publish to this database

    I think Skyvia will work good for you. We use it for data analysis (expose data from Dynamics into DWH for analysis). Skyvia doesn't require coding and has simple UI.
