Hi All,

I'm new to CRM and I'm currently having an issue when I try to log onto the newly installed CRM.

The current setup of CRM is as follows,

  • Database Server
  • CRM Backend Server
  • CRM Frontend Server

All three servers can talk to each other and are on the same domain.

The version of CRM that is currently being used is CRM 2015. I have turned on 'DevErrors' in the web config and the below error is returned.

I have completed the "Microsoft Dynamics CRM Deployment Manager" and created the new organization.

The user that I'm trying to log in with, is the same user that was used to performed the install.

Thank you.

    Hi Peter,

First go to services and restart the MSCRM Asynchronous service and then reset IIS.

Try to log in CRM with the same user. Then Add the next user and provide System Admin role in Security settings.

    Hope it helps.

    Regards,

    R.Rajkumar

Hi all, Thank you for the suggestions but seem to still not allow me to login. I was able to login in from another machine but login from the server where the CRM is hosted was not possible. Looking into this now to see if I can figure out what it is that is causing this.

I was able to login to log with no generic error message popping up. This was only once thou.

    Steps that I followed,

    1. Deleted all the databases on the SQL server

    2. Restarted the SQL server

    3. Removed CRM completely

    4. Re-installed the CRM Backend Server

    5. Re-installed the CRM Frontend Server

    6. Created the organization

When I tried to log in the CRM from my local machine, there was no error.

When I try to browse from my server where the installation was done, I get a HTTP 401.1 error.

Reading up a bit on the 401.1 error, I tried to change the "Authentication" type in IIS, to start with the "NTLM" provider.

As soon as the provider was changed, the generic error message popped up on my local machine. Revert the change and the error disappeared. So that solves the error for the "Generic Error" message.

What should the settings under the "Authentication\Windows Authentication" be. These are my current settings.

    Advance Settings -

    Providers -

    Thanks.
