Payroll Reports incorrect after applying 2010 tax update

Posted on by 345

We applied the 2010 Payroll Tax updates for GP 10.  Now, when we print SSN and Unemployment reports for 2010, it is calculating using the 2011 tax rates.

I believe the SUTA rates are not maintained historically meaning that the report always uses the current SUTA rate under (Microsoft Dynamics GP) -> Tools -> Setup -> Payroll -> Unemployment Taxes.  I would change the rate there to your historic rate, run the report, and then change it back to your current rate.

Note that SUTA rates are based on your experience as well as state rates so they are generally NOT included in the tax update from Microsoft.

Hi Mike... I am seeing this in the Period-End SUTA Report.

    Thanks!

What reports specifically are you trying to print?  There are some issues with the tax update where you may need to change the SS rate back and forth until the tax update is released next week.  If you provide me with some additional details, I may be able to give you a work around.

    Thanks,

    Mike
