Issue while Adding Components into CRM 2016 Onpremise solution

Posted on by 150

Hello Every one,

We are trying to do the 1st production deployment, while adding components to solution in the develpment environment some components in the custom entites like "1:N relationships & N:1 relations" are not getting added. We have around 200 entites including system entites.

One more issue is, whlie importing the solution into production, even though the components are available in solution, import process still show that "Components are missing".

Ways we tried:

1. Adding all assets of all entities. No luck some compoenets like "Forms/relationships/fields" are not getting added.

2. Added one by one entity (It took very long, but we don't have any other option), still some components are not getting added.

Can some one help me with this problem......

Thanks in advance

-- Venkatesh.

Could you remove one of the components in dev from solution, export solution and check if the component is anywhere to be found in missing dependencies?

I have a similar issue to yours and just noticed this behaviour also

    Hello Inogic,

    Thanks for the response.

This is the first deployment we are doing, so all customizations should go. we also tried with required components.

Event though the component is available in solution its saying missing components.

    Regards,

Is there any third party managed solution installed on your dev environment? If yes, you should install it on target environment first and then import the solution.

You need to deploy changes from Dev to Prod.

So what we can suggest is adding only the required components which you want to move and not all the assets.

In that way, you could manage to deploy the solution from Dev to Prod.
